Meet Our Team

Katie Minor Bliss 

     Katie is a proud resident of Baton Rouge, LA, but was born and raised in New Orleans. She graduated from LSU in 2009 with a major in Mass Communications, then went on to graduate from Loyola Law School in 2012 with a degree in Civil Law and Common Law, along with a certificate in International Law.  

    In 2018, at age 32, Katie was diagnosed with low AMH and within twelve (12) months, underwent two (2) IUIs, five (5) rounds of IVF, and one (1) round of egg donation from a family member. Miraculously, modern medicine prevailed and Katie has been blessed with three healthy children. Because of this very stressful and trying experience, Katie understands the trials and tribulations, as well as the emotional, physical, and financial burden these processes can cause.

     Katie’s own personal fertility journey lead her to found Fertility and Family, LLC so that she could be a resource and provide solutions for individuals, couples and/or families facing the same type of complex battles. She has been the patient and now she is the patient’s advocate putting her first-hand experience to use for her clients. 

   Furthermore, in 2025, Katie co-founded the Louisiana Fertility Alliance, a nonprofit that advocates protection for Louisiana families and IVF doctors. In that same year, Katie led the charge in re-writing the IVF laws in Louisiana - laws that hadn't been updated or changed since 1986. 

Lee A. Heidingsfelder 

       Lee A. Heidingsfelder, co-founder and partner of Fertility and Family, LLC was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana and is currently a proud resident.  Lee is the proud mother of two children, a son and a daughter.  Lee graduated from LSU with a degree in Finance in 2002.  Thereafter, she worked in real estate and sales.  In 2012, Lee earned her law degree from Loyola University College of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and was recognized as a William Crowe Scholar.  

     In 2013, Lee joined a New Orleans based law firm representing clients in a wide variety of family law matters, including divorce, custody, visitation, intrafamily adoption, partition, and matrimonial agreements.  

     While in law school, Lee and Katie formed a life long friendship.  Lee watched Katie and countless others endure the stress and uncertainty of IVF treatment.  Lee was honored to co-found Fertility and Family, LLC and work to help clients navigate the legal aspects of this trying process.
